National Cinema Day was originally scheduled to take place on September 16; however, on the requests of numerous “stakeholders” and in an effort to increase participation, it will instead take place on September 23.

The events, according to the announcement, will take place on more than 4000 participating screens, including those belonging to PVR, INOX, Cinepolis, Carnival, Miraj, Citypride, ASIAN, Mukta A2, Movie Time, Wave, M2K, Delite, and numerous more movie theatre chains.
