The Multiplex Group of India (MAI) and Cinemas throughout India invite moviegoers to enjoy a day at the movies with a celebration entrance price of $75 to honor National Cinema Day, the association said in a statement. National Cinema Day was originally scheduled to take place on September 16; however, on the requests of numerous “stakeholders” and in an effort to increase participation, it will instead take place on September 23.
The events, according to the announcement, will take place on more than 4000 participating screens, including those belonging to PVR, INOX, Cinepolis, Carnival, Miraj, Citypride, ASIAN, Mukta A2, Movie Time, Wave, M2K, Delite, and numerous more movie theatre chains.
Through this program, the movie theatres also hope to reach out to those who haven’t started attending to the movies since the outbreak.
On September 23, a flat fee of 75 will be charged at Indian theatres for each film; however, third-party online apps or websites may impose additional fees.
