The core committee has been informed by the NSCN-IM that the group will pick up the peace negotiations if they are based on the framework agreement. On Tuesday, peace negotiations will take place in Delhi between the central government and the National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Isak Muivah (NSCN-IM). On the foundation of the Framework Agreement reached on August 3, 2015, the negotiations will resume today. Since May, negotiations between the central government and the NSCN (IM) have halted.
The delegation that was supposed to attend this meeting has arrived in Delhi, according to the news agency ANI. The Centre’s current interlocutor, AK Mishra, is present at any time this meeting is held.
The NSCN-IM has decided to resume peace discussions with the Center in an effort to address the obstacles to the Naga peace talks, according to an earlier announcement by TR Zeliang, president of the United Democratic Alliance of Nagaland.
