Kourtney Kardashian on Why She Isn’t as Close to Her Sisters Anymore: ‘I’m in a Different Place’

If Kourtney Kardashian appears to be the most distant of the Kardashian sisters, it is most likely because she is. Kourtney discussed why she doesn’t get along with Kim and Khloé Kardashian as well as they do on the podcast of Not Skinny But Not Fat.

As Kourtney noted, it all began in 2018 when Kim was carrying Chicago through a surrogate and Khloé was pregnant with True. (At the time, Stormi’s youngest half-sister Kylie was also expecting.) According to Kourtney, who spoke to Entertainment Tonight, “I just felt like they really bonded, like they were going through the same things.” And that’s when I started to dislike the show [Keeping Up With the Kardashians, the former reality series starring the Kardashian family], partly because Kim and Khloé were kind of banding together. Nearly everything that Khloé and I had essentially done to Kim was now being turned against me.

Kourtney claimed that she began treatment around that time and that having a little more time to herself from her siblings continues to be beneficial. She stated, “I think some of us feel the need to detach ourselves at times or just do our own thing, have our own thing.” I adore maintaining my personal bubble and protecting my energy, as they say. And I simply prefer to live in my own little universe, slipping in and out as I want.

She continued by saying that even if things are still different, she and Khloé are now closer. “I think Khloé and I get along well. Throughout her stay in Milan, we had conversations. On FaceTiming, we were. On the drive to school this morning, we FaceTimed. At school this morning, I ran into her. We’re all right. Simply put, I believe life has changed. I believe I am in a different location.
