Kantara box office collections; Second weekend 90 percent bigger than the First, Nears 50 crores in India

At the box office, Kantara’s second weekend grossed around 18 crores, which was phenomenal. The movie has made 44 crores at the box office overall, with 42 crores coming from Karnataka.

Kantara

At the box office, Kantara had an incredible second weekend, earning over Rs. 18 crores. On its second Sunday, the movie brought in over Rs. 7 crores, again breaking records for daily box office receipts. The movie virtually doubled its first-weekend revenue thanks to a 90% increase from the previous week. The second weekend of the movie is only second to KGF Chapter 2 in Karnataka. The movie has made a total of Rs. 44 crores at the box office, with Rs. 42 crores coming from Karnataka and another Rs. 2 crores from the rest of India; Mumbai contributed the lion’s share of that with Rs.

The film’s earnings may have been higher, but on Saturday and Sunday, it was fully booked at many Karnataka theaters. The movie was still in demand, and that would continue into the weekdays. The film may not experience any decline from Friday as a result of the significant Monday advances.

With this kind of business pattern, the movie’s potential box office earnings of up to Rs. 100 crores cannot be discounted. Even if the Kannada version doesn’t do as well as anticipated, the release of dubbed versions in Hindi and Telugu starting next week will boost sales and make up for any shortfall.

The following table details Kantara’s box office earnings in India:

Week One – Rs. 26.25 crores

2nd Friday – Rs. 4.25 crores
2nd Saturday – Rs. 6.25 crores
2nd Sunday – Rs. 7.25 crores

Total – Rs. 44 crores
