GodFather Trailer Launch: Salman Khan says ‘people want to go to Hollywood, I want to go to South

GodFather, starring Chiranjeevi and Salman Khan, is getting ready to hit theatres on October 5 in both Telugu and Hindi. The movie’s Hindi trailer was presented today in Mumbai in the presence of Chiranjeevi, Salman, and a few other celebrities as the release date draws nearer. During the trailer event, Salman Khan engaged with the media and discussed his experiences working on South Asian films.

Salman Khan stated that although many people want to work in Hollywood movies, he prefers to work in South Asian movies. He added that it will be absolutely fantastic and the films will appeal to a far larger audience when South and Bollywood stars collaborate. “While other people want to visit Hollywood, I want to see the South. Just consider the numbers we would have once we collaborate. People are watching it both here and in the south. My fans will see the movies, just as their fans would. We discuss 300 and 400 crores, but if we collaborate, we may reach 3000 crores,” Salman stated.

Salman Khan was also questioned about Ram Charan’s cameo in his movie Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan at the trailer launch. Salman revealed that Ram Charan visited him while he and Venkatesh were in Hyderabad filming the movie and expressed a desire to appear in the same frame as Salman and Venkatesh. Salman claimed that at first, he assumed Ram Charan was joking, but to his great surprise, the following day, Ram Charan showed up on set wearing his costume.

On October 5, GodFather will be shown in theatres. Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, which is set for release at the end of 2022, will also star Salman Khan.
