The lead role in the upcoming suspense drama Dhoomam will be played by Fahadh Faasil. Pawan Kumar wrote the project’s script and will also be directing the movie. For those who are unaware, the acting and directing team have worked together before on films like Lucia and U-Turn. The National Award-winning actress Aparna Balamurali will play Fahadh Faasil’s leading lady in the film.
Four languages are most likely to release the movie. The drama, which was funded by KGF creators Hombale Films, is the production company’s second Malayalam movie with Prithviraj Sukumaran as the lead, following Tyson. Along with Fahadh Faasil and Aparna Balamurali, other important actors in the film include Achyut Kumar, Joy Mathew, Dev Mohan, Anu Mohan, and Nandhu.
Regarding the drama’s technical team, renowned cinematographer Preetha Jayaram is handling the camera work, while Poornachandra Tejaswi provided the music for the picture. Anees Nadodi and Poornima Ramaswamy, both winners of national awards, are also employed by the group as production designers and costume designers, respectively.

Producer Vijay Kiragandur was cited as saying to the media during the first-look release of Dhoomam, “Dhoomam is built on a novel concept. And Fahadh will play a new and important role, as we will see. We have no doubt that bringing together the biggest actors will be able to work some sort of magic.

Additionally, Fahadh Faasil will return as Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat in Pushpa: The Rule, the sequel to the successful Pushpa franchise. In the meantime, rumors circulated that Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor was in talks with director Sukumar to portray a cop in the much-anticipated sequel. Producer Naveen Yerneni, however, dismissed such reports as “false news” in an exclusive chat with Pinkvilla.
Fahadh Faasil is playing the character, he continued. Therefore, it is completely fake news. We will begin filming (for Pushpa 2) at the end of this month. Beginning on the 20th, we will begin the shoot. We will begin filming in Hyderabad before moving to the jungle and other sites.
